Some of the messages have names in, some don’t – why?

I’ve never seen anyone offering this service before and I’m not sure what it’s about, can you explain?
The concept behind Say It - harnessing the power of music and poetry to send messages to others by mobile, facebook and email - is completely original and was invented by us … the tracks (aside from the classic happy birthday) are all completely original – so you won’t have heard them before … and using star singers to sing your name for you in those messages – that’s also completely new! So you haven’t seen this service before – if you haven’t been here before! You are now a member of a group of people who have been using Say It messages since we started in 2004. You can read more in What is it? Welcome to Say It!

How do you get it to sound like my name is sung just for me? Is it a computerised trick?
It sounds like your name is sung just for you because … it is sung just for you. No tricks – just very hard and passionate work by our artists and team! So although we deliver your message in a modern way – to mobile, facebook or email – the time and care taken are the same as in making any chart record.

Say It!’s tunes are created by award winning producers and engineers in the UK and sung by brilliant and dedicated singers. The song you choose is a hand-crafted thing of beauty - sung just for you, by name under the care of an award winning producer, each one individually mixed by a skilled audio engineer in a professional studio.

It’s an audio greeting card, right?
Say It is so much more than a greeting card – it’s the new addition to your relationship tool kit. Using Say it, you can say I Love You, I Miss You and Will you go out with me by harnessing the huge emotional power of song and poetry. Of course, we all want to say Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas to those we care about too, so it makes sense that Say It have those messages too.

Yada Yada … what’s the point? Why not just send a paper card?
Just listen to one of our messages and you’ll know the answer! If you think a piece of cardboard will get the same response as one of our singers - singing your loved one’s name in a song especially for them – then you haven’t seen someone’s face when they receive one!

Besides, with the whole sending of cardboard cards being so bad for the environment, it’s time to move on to something that’s kinder to trees

What if my message doesn’t get through?
Mobile phones! Our service is 100% for a modern mobile, but there are other factors we’re all familiar with - being out of range, often switched off … but we do everything at say it to make sure your message gets there. Go to our help page and we’ll give you further support and our contact email address.

Just remember though, that whenever you send a message we send you a duplicate mp3 by email. This isn’t copy protected, and you have the right to copy it for your own personal use, so even if the friend’s phone is out of action, you can email, burn a CD or Bluetooth it for them.

Our email and facebook services are very reliable. However, in the unlikely event of failure after retrying, we will of course give you a full refund.

I’ve now got my message by email – can I copy it to my iPod or a CD?
Yes – there is no copy protection on our products, so you can copy your song from one device to another as many times as you want. (However, please note that by buying the audio message you obtain a license for personal use only – not for any commercial or resale purposes). See our Terms and Conditions.

How quickly will I get my message after ordering?
Say It! provides an automated instant service to mobile or email or facebook. We’ll very soon be adding the facility to send the message on your chosen date.

Who pays?
The sender pays the total cost for the message and sending. However, when the recipient gets their gift their operator may make a small charge for downloading it on a mobile. The amount depends on the tariff they are on – it could be nothing or a few pence.

What does it cost?
Our messages cost an all-inclusive flat fee of £2.99. No more than the price of an average greeting card. And there’s nothing average about our messages!

How do I pay?
The sender pays the full cost by credit/debit card or using a paypal account .

Is this one of those ringtone sites where you subscribe me without permission?
No! First of all, our songs are original messages crafted at chart quality by award winning composers, producers and artists to do the job of telling someone how you feel or that you are thinking of them. They sound just as great on the best Hi Fi as on a mobile speaker. Ringtones – not!

Also, we don’t do ‘reverse billing’ – taking money from the sender’s or recipient's bills - or automatic subscriptions. You pay for what you buy, and that’s it.

How will the person I’m sending to know it’s from me?
For mobiles: before we send the link for the message to someone’s mobile we send the recipient a text message with your name in it e.g. ‘Robert Smith has authorised Say It! to send you a gift message on his behalf. Please click on the link that follows in order to receive it’.

Some of the messages have names in, some don’t – why?
Creating a Say It personalised message is a labour of love. Having a star come to our studios to perform 1,000 names of the people that might be special to you is a really rare and special thing.

For the more off beat messages such as ‘I’m Pregnant’ or ‘Your Dinner’s in the Dog!’ we sometimes have poets and musicians create one off pieces to cover off even the most infrequent of relationship events!
